All Guards are trained to SITO standards and hold SIA Licences, in compliance with The Private Security Industry Act of 2001.

Company Background and Organisation

Security West is a medium-sized company with a turnover in excess of £1 million, derived exclusively from the contract guarding operations in which it specialises. It has an outstanding reputation for service, established over the last 25 years, and is still retained by clients dating from that time.

It is also on the approved list of tenderers for many units of district and local councils and government bodies including the Police and MOD. The company has a strong financial base and is a private company wholly owned by a family with substantial security interests.

The Managing Director, Mr Ian Percy, has controlled the company since its inception and has a very wide experience within the industry. Operations Director, Mr Ian Gilbert, has spent 15 years in security work and the Civilian Police Service.
